Ballyseede Castle Hotel

This is a recently completed commission in Ballyseede Castle Hotel. Taking inspiration from Pre-Raphaelite and Medieval Art this set of 6 windows can be found in the beautiful new Orangery in the castle.
The concept of the window is based on the story of how the first owners of Ballyseede castle had a rental agreement with the Queen of England. They agreed to send a single red rose from the garden every year in exchange for the lease of the castle. The window depicts the moment when the fictitious handsome prince presents the beautiful princess with the rose. They are encircled with a golden mantle that features various aspects of life in Ballyseede Castle and the grounds including a painting of the front of the castle, the famous Irish Wolfhound Dog ‘Higgins’, the peacock, swans, butterflies, leaves, spirals and dragons.
